Methodologies, tools and approaches
Health Partners International supports all aspects of health system strengthening. Thirty years of experience working across Africa and Asia provides a depth of practical knowledge, experience and insight across the health sector; from organising front-line services to sector-wide strategies for assessing, allocating and managing resources.
In particular, we have available a wide range of well tried and innovative methodologies, tools and approaches for the health sector. These have been developed with our partners, and are adaptable to different conditions.
Some examples of our tools and approaches
- HR Database: The Human Resources (HR) Database is a comprehensive tool for health planners and ministry managers to analyse, plan and manage human resources across the health sector and within facilities. Its two main modules are the Health Resources Planner (HRPlanner) and the Health Resources Administration (HRAdmin)
- IMPACT: Improved Management through Participatory Appraisal and Continuous Transformation (IMPACT) is an integrated approach to strengthen management for health services with poor resources. It includes regular planning and peer appraisal, building systems and capacity, follow-up and support for implementation, quality assessment and recognition.
- PLAMAHS: The Planning and Management of Assets in Health Services (PLAMAHS) is an extremely powerful but easy to use software for assessing, planning and managing health equipment, utilities, buildings and other assets.
