Health Partners Southern Africa (HPSA)
Established in 1996, the Health Partners Southern Africa (HPSA) health consultancy is based in East London, South Africa. HPSA’s partners are Dr Rodion Kraus and Michael Siebert.
Health Partners Southern Africa (HPSA) is committed to building consultancy capacity in the region and is especially keen to develop consultants from formerly disadvantaged groups in South Africa.
Health Partners Southern Africa (HPSA) provides high quality technical expertise in:
- health policy and legislation
- health sector reform
- human resource planning and administration (see HR Database)
- development of integrated health services based on the primary health care approach
- health facility planning and management
- health programme evaluation.
HPSA’s clients include: national and provincial governments, UK Departmnet for International Development (DFID), USAID, UNDP, UNAIDS, BOTUSA, the European Commission and Sida (Sweden).
HPSA’s recent work includes:
- technical assistance in the development of a 10 year Human Resources Strategic Plan for Health Services in Botswana
- technical assistance for a project on reducing child morbidity and strengthening health care systems in Malawi.
